Good Watch September 7, 2010 andrew It's pretty simple, this watch keeps excellent time, water resistant, the quartz resists scratches well, it's lightweight, and the luminescent strips on all three hands light well in the dark.
much promise, much failure July 19, 2010 A. Wenger To start, the watch keeps time very well, and looks very nice doing it. It does have its flaws however. First, it is unbelievably loud, each tick of the second hand is quite audible. The larger complaint I have is its lack of water resistance. For in the shower or washing dishes the watch preforms fine. Once submerged however, it fails instantly. Even during short intervals of time(20seconds), and very shallow depths (less than 1 meter) and in varying bodies of water (ocean, lake, river, pool) the watch cannot preform up to the standard described in its description. I must say though, that it does still work even with the condensation covering the internal face to the point where it is near unreadable. Within a week or so the condensation typically evaporates. Overall a nice watch, keep it out of water and out of libraries and it'll treat you right.
Keeps Time, but Loud June 30, 2010 CSalas98 (Philadelphia, PA) I purchased this product for some international travel. While the watch did keep time accurately, it did "tick" rather loudly. In fact, there were a few night I could hear the second hand moving.
This watch is durable and easy to set. I would recommend it for anyone who need a quick reliable way to tell time.
Best Watch, Dollar for Dollar June 25, 2010 W. W. Moncure III (Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA) It's been nearly one year since I bought this Timex camper watch, and dollar for dollar this has so far been the best watch I have owned. I wear it every day and night without exception. I have gone swimming with this watch, and I shower every day while wearing it. I work out at the gym seven days per week for one hour per day - and the watch stays on. There has been no fraying of the armband (although there has been slight fading), and if I've encountered any scratches on the glass face they've been removed via the "toothpaste method." I am fairly certain that the watch will last two to three years in its present, abusive relationship. If it does last that long, that means that the total cost per day (assuming three years) is around $0.02 per day. I will buy another identical Timex camper watch when this one realizes its end.
Good Enough! June 23, 2010 M. Brandt (Bellevue, WA) I was hoping that the watch would be a bit bigger, but it was brand new as advertised and works great.
