Amazon.com Product Description With this non-stop, self-adjusting Casio Waveceptor timepiece, you don't have to worry about replacing batteries because it's solar powered and you'll have confidence of always knowing the correct time via the integrated atomic timekeeping technology. This stylish watch is suitable for both professional and casual wear, and it's complemented by a contemporary black resin strap. It includes a stopwatch function that can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 100 hours), and it offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times. Other timekeeping features include: - World Time: 29 time zones (30 cities), city code display, daylight saving on/off
- 3 Daily Alarms
- Hourly Time Signal
- 12/24 Hour Formats
This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving. This solar-powered watch has a battery life of up to 5 months on a full charge (without further exposure to light). This multi-band radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from several locations across the globe (the U.S. and Japan), and it has an auto receive function (up to 6 times per day). You can choose to automatically receive this signal four times a day, or manually update the watch to the atomic clock.

Class and Functionality August 5, 2010 GWilliams I love the look and function of this watch. When I first received it I was concerned about the fact that it hadn't synchronized with the atomic clock since September of last year and that the solar battery was low. I was frustrated at first trying to manually sync with the atomic clock, but the key to both this and the battery is to leave the watch in your window overnight. It will automatically adjust itself overnight, and the early morning light charges the battery like gangbusters.
Lots of functionality, and a battery charged by the sun, coupled with a precise clock- can't beat it.
Pretty good August 2, 2010 Murali I am not a watch person, but I got this and love this one. I wear them everyday.
Great Value, Excellent watch. July 27, 2010 Les Howell (Princeton, NC USA) Bought the WVA430J-1 as a replacement for my old, scratched Casio digital atomic watch. The new WVA430J-1 watch is handsome to see and keeps perfect time. I check it with my computer which is adjusted automatically and the WVA430J-1 has been in sync to the exact second. I did use Casio technical support @ 800-435-7732 (press 5 for watches) to set the watch. Very helpful and friendly. Some of the features I am still learning but, so far, it is a beauty.
Casio Men's WVA430J-1 Waveceptor Solar Atomic Ana-Digi Sport Watch July 27, 2010 Jim Neely (Texas) The watch works as advertised. The manual is very small and the translation isn't always easy to follow. Changing from Kanji to English for the day name was a challenge.
No other complaints.
Tricky setup then Wonderful; Time Zone wonder July 12, 2010 PNGLloyd I have owned this watch for a couple months now. Yes, it was tricky to get all setup the first time. I had to switch it to English, set my home area, get the hands at 12 o'clock exactly, set the date, get it to sync, which meant setting it outside in the open. It might have taken 20-30 minutes to setup. But after that it is wonderful and easy. I travel a lot from coast to coast and all I do is change my time zone and zing the hands change to the exact right time.
Be aware I do have to point the face towards the window at night or else it doesn't get the signal to sync. I am in ND right now. When it syncs every night, it keeps perfect time with my cell phone.
I have the window set on day and date. It is easy to read even without my glasses.
